Area Code Blocker · Last updated: May 11, 2026
Area Code Blocker is a call-screening utility that blocks incoming calls from area codes you specify. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is used.
The app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data stays on your device.
Area codes you enter are saved locally in the app's private storage (Android SharedPreferences) and never leave your device.
Your contacts are read at call-screening time solely to determine whether an incoming caller is saved in your contacts. Contact data is never stored, copied, or transmitted by the app.
Incoming phone numbers are evaluated in real time to decide whether to block a call. No call logs are recorded or retained by the app.
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| Call Screening Role | Required to intercept and block incoming calls before the phone rings |
| Read Contacts | Allows calls from your saved contacts to ring through even if they match a blocked area code |
| Post Notifications | Sends a notification when a call is blocked |
The app uses no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising frameworks, or crash reporting services.
We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data.
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
